Insurance

Give customers and reviewers a clearer path through insurance.

A quote, application or service request can stall because information is missing, repeated or difficult to interpret. Xivic improves the interfaces and software connections that help customers submit the right details and teams review them in context.

Engineering support across the pet-insurance experience.

Xivic supported Embrace with retained development and platform maintenance. Quote-engine discovery also examined customer journeys, existing API connections and regression-testing requirements, including the differences between single-pet and multi-pet quotes.

The operating challenge

What causes a request to come back for more information?

A missing answer, a validation failure and an unavailable API response require different fixes. Trace one request from the customer screen to the reviewer queue before choosing the change. Keep coverage, underwriting and claims decisions in the authorized process.

Remove the avoidable work around a decision.

Clarify quote and application requirements

Explain the details customers need before starting. Carry approved choices and entered information through the steps so a later screen does not force the customer to start again.

Make incomplete submissions diagnosable

Distinguish missing customer information from validation failures and unavailable API responses. Give customers a useful next action and support teams enough context to resolve the interruption.

Protect existing customer journeys

Test new and returning customers, saved progress and partial records against the proposed change. Document the scenarios that must still work after release.

Separate a form problem from a system problem.

Choose one quote or application task and collect completed, incomplete and interrupted scenarios. Trace which fields the customer enters, which are supplied by an API and which an authorized reviewer must confirm.

Make the requirement clear to the customer

Use approved product wording to test field labels, explanations and status messages. The output should identify which missing details the interface can prevent and which need a follow-up question.

Quote and application experience design

Test the handoff against existing records

Document API responses, validation rules, saved progress and retry behavior. Test returning customers and partial submissions as well as a new quote. Coverage and underwriting decisions remain with the authorized process.
